Diabetes forum started its first community health awareness programme at the Auditorium of District General Hospital, Monaragala in Uva Wellassa Sri Lanka on 3rd Aug. 2007.

Two guest lecturers were delivered by Dr. Rohitha Jayamaha, consultant Physician, General Hospital, Monaragala and Dr. Waruna Gunathilake of Diabetes Forum.

Demonstrations were presented by Specially Trained Diabetes Nurse Ms H M S Wijayamala of Monaragala District Hospital.

Hundreds of registered Diabetes patients at Monaragala Base Hospital were participated in this endeavor.

Refreshments were provided by NovoNordisk
